What is a Powwow and why will thousands attent?

Powwow is the time for American Indian people to meet and join together in dancing and singing, while renewing old friendships and making new ones. Additionally, powwows provide opportunities to renew thoughts of the “old ways” and preserve a rich heritage. Finally, powwows offer a chance for friends and families of all cultures to take part of the experience.

  • From 2010 to 2020, the American Indian and Alaska Native in combination population increased by 160%.
  • The American Indian and Alaska Native alone or in combination population comprised 9.7 million people (2.9% of the total population) in 2020, up from 5.2 million (1.7%) in 2010.
  • The American Indian and Alaska Native alone population grew by 27.1%, and the American Indian and Alaska Native in combination population grew by 160% since 2010.

In addition to the Major Sponsorships described, there are numerous underwriting opportunities in a variety of price packages that can make an impact at the 2021 Annual Powwow for your company or organization. They include:

Feast Sponsor (Saturday Evening) – $5,000
Enjoy high visibility through signage while we share a meal for dancers, singers, and special guests.

Sponsor Drums/Dance Categories – $5,000
Your donation will assist us in the payout for visiting Drum groups and the winners of the dance contest in the different categories.

Sponsor a gust Musician or Speciality Dance Troupe (e.g. Iroquios Smoke Dancers, Musicians, etc.) – $5,000
Your donation will assist us in the payout for these unique contemporary musicians and tribal dance performances.

Powwow Program Printing – $4,000
Receive a prominent full-color page in the event program for your advertising.

Hospitality Booth – $2,500
Enjoy high visibility through signage for sponsoring water, coffee and snacks for powwow participants.

Volunteer T-Shirts – $2,000
Receive high visibility by having your corporate logo on the back of all volunteer T-Shirts.

All underwriting sponsors will be acknowledged in the powwow program and all sponsorships priced at $25,000 or above will include one complimentary vendor booth.
