Announcement: COVID-19 Update 4/15/2020
American Indian Center COVID-19 Update 4/15/2020
Dear friends, community members are supporters,
We miss you and we are thinking about your health and safety daily. Together with the Board, we have been applying for funding, crafting new online program ideas and working on ways to provide for community members in the upcoming time. AIC is working closely with the Chicago American Indian Community Collaborative (CAICC) to help with emergency services. Please reach out if you need assistance and complete this form.
In response to moving our programming online to follow recommended health procedures AIC will be holding our Board meetings via Zoom. Please see our flyer for the Zoom link and join us next Tuesday the 21st at 6:00pm. You will be able to find out more about our response to the outbreak and how we will continue moving the organization forward through this difficult time.
We want to keep you active with AIC! In the next few weeks we will be hosting a Netflix watch party, talking circles, poetry workshops, seed starting workshops, and online crafting workshops. We are partnering with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Title VI and St. Kateri Center to provide food supplies. Please check our social media for updates and to sign up for food resources.
AIC is working to provide resources for families. We have created a coloring book that families can request to be mailed. We will print and send CPS packets for your students. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will print and send packets.
Keep checking our website and social media for more updates and resources. Email or call us if you have needs or requests. We will be working to take care of these requests as best we can and we look forward to getting together soon.
