AIC Welcomes Two New Board Members
Greetings to the AIC community. The Board of Directors would like to wish you all a great new year in 2021. It goes without saying that 2020 was a difficult year for us all, but we are looking forwards to a restored year. Our continued thoughts and prayers are with all of you doing these difficult times of the pandemic.

We would like to thank everyone who applied for the Board of Directors, both seats have now been filled. We’d like to take a moment to welcome Norma Robertson and Carla Witulski.

We would like to introduce you to Norma Robertson. Norma is an enrolled member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe in South Dakota.  She is currently enjoying retirement and doing her beadwork during her free time. Her previous work experience was as a Social Service Intake staff person at St Augustine Center in Uptown Chicago for nearly 20 years.  She worked at the American Indian Health Center of Chicago as an Addiction Counselor and was a volunteer 12 Step program coordinator for AA meetings. She has held a seat on the American Indian Center Board in past years as the Treasurer.  She is happy to continue to serve the Chicago Native community.

Carla Witulski is an enrolled Ho-Chunk Nation member and has been working as a Public Servant Representative for the Secretary of State of Illinois. It has taught Carla the values of respecting various ideas, people, and communities. Patience is her strongest attribute along with being able to effectively intercede as part of a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic team, and multi-socioeconomic team. Because of this, she believes in working towards social justice, fair education, and equality. Carla is married with two kids. Carla’s educational background is in Network Engineering, Technical Support, Analytical and Troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software & installation, interconnecting networks using routers, switches, and administration.
